My Best Advice When Using Preference Assessments
Make sure to complete a preference assessment in the beginning of the year. However, they should be run several times throughout the year. Just like us, our taste change!
Preference assessments are not just for finding reinforcers that students can earn. Make sure these assessments are driving your instruction, including motivation (for example, if you find out a students loves to paint, incorporate that in to a lesson somehow).
