Teachers Pay Teacher’s Back to School Sale – What’s in my Cart?

July 31, 2016 No Comments

Hopefully you got the news that Teacher’s Pay Teacher’s Best Year Ever Sale is happening August 1st and 2nd.  I’m sure as much as you have been trying to put off Back to School Shopping (yeah right, I have seen all your Target Dollar Spot hauls on Instagram).  As a brand new homeowner, I am really trying to stay far away from that Dollar Spot (which is really hard when you need to run to Target everyday to buy everything sponges to floor lamps).  However, I can never say no to a TPT sale.  My mind is blown on the regular by the innovation and creativity of my peers.

What are some must-haves from The Autism Vault?  Take a look:

IEP Gaol Data Tracking and Self-Reflection for Autism and Special Education....Help your special educations students learn to reflect on their learning and keep track of their IEP goals.
This has been my baby this month when I have conveniently wanted to ignore packing and studying for the BCBA exam.  I used many of these materials this year to get my students in the habit of reflecting on their learning.  For this upcoming year, I am super excited to get all of my students aware of their IEP and start tracking them.

Monthly Vocabulary units for Autism and Special Education....practice labeling vocabulary words and identifying feature, function, and class of monthly-themed words

If you’re in to learning vocabulary in a meaningful way, this bundle is for you.  Each monthly unit includes 10 vocabulary words students will learn, plus a myriad of different activities.  The units are also differentiated to practice labeling words and identify feature, function, and class of words.  If you have learners that are past just labeling, this works perfectly!

So, here’s a peek at what I have stocked up in my cart:

Special Education Social Skills Brag Tags
Learning with Visuals totally read my mind with the idea of making social skills brag tags, but I’m thankful she did!  I think my student this year will be really into brag tags, so I’m definitely snatching this up!
ID CARDS- Learning Personal Information (Editable)
Personal information is something I work on every year.  It is so. important. for our students to learn their personal information, or at the very least, be able to whip out an ID card when necessary.  This resource will definitely get used in my classroom.
Guess Who Loves Identifying Vocabulary By Descriptions!
This resource was just posted by Lauren DiBiase and right away I knew I had to have it.  I’m always on the lookout for fun way to practice language skills.
Animal Facts: Leveled Comprehension for Students with Autism
I always love good reading comprehension worksheets for our students.  This animal pack from Simply Special Ed look like they would be of high interest to my students (because animals) and be easy to make in to a simple reading center.
Don’t forget, make sure you use the code BestYear to receieve 28% off!  What do you plan on purchasing?

Hi! I just found your blog and I am SO excited. I'm a HS teacher helping a colleague set up her high school classroom for students with autism. It's a daunting task but your blog has been a lifesaver. Keep doing what you do! Thank you!
